Started by Students for Students
The HHPR Innovation Showcase is a student-led event to highlight the diverse research and experiential learning opportunities with the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation. This event provides a platform for undergraduate and graduate students to present on their research and course-related experiences to bridge academic learning with real-world application. By facilitating discussion and networking, the event encourages interdisciplinary engagement, sparks scholarly conversations, and supports the professional growth of our students.
We held our first event in April 2025 and can’t wait to see where it will go! Stay tuned for HHPR Innovation Showcase 2026!

From schedule planning, coordinating event logistics, and facilitating day-of activities, this event is completely managed by HHPR students.
HHPR students and faculty help make the event possible by volunteering their time to review abstracts and judge day-of presentations.
Throughout the event, students present their research or course projects through posters or oral presentations.
See our Previous Events page for more details about the 2025 event.
